<p>Teenagers experience a range of emotions at various points in their lives, such emotions are dependent upon the situation faced as well as ones which are avoided. Circumstances do not always work in favor of a teenager and this can generate negative emotions and feelings. Attempting to detect the exact sources of such negative emotions is essential if you want to avoid <strong>teen depression</strong> &#8211; maybe you are not a teenager reading this but perhaps you know someone who is affected by depression at such a young age.</p>
<p>For the most part teenagers are aware of the sources that make them happy however they may not have a good grasp of the reasons that lead the negative emotions yet there are various kinds of emotions such as anxiety, anger, depression, panic and fear that can prove to be harmful to your physical well being and your emotional state.</p>
<p>As a result it becomes essential that we detect the exact resources of negative emotions to be aware of the sources which cause negative emotions, this will help teenagers to make conscious efforts to keep away from situations or confrontations that can make them uncomfortable.</p>
<p>Negative emotions can have drastic effects on a daily routine as well as decay decision-making skills. It is best to find out situations, people or even thoughts which trigger negative emotions. It is a good idea to break up thoughts into positive  and negative thoughts. Make a list of these thoughts and observe them carefully. You may find the list of negative thoughts to be longer than the list of positive thoughts, if so no worries because this is okay.</p>
<p>This exercise will help you to eliminate all of the negative thoughts, therefore you need to dominate your mind with positive thoughts. Detecting sources of negative emotions is important as this can help in the understanding of the importance of each thought. Not all thoughts deserve your attention so it is necessary to ignore the less important ones when it comes to determining priorities.</p>
<p>Eliminate the negative emotions and dwell upon positive thoughts instead. This will help to infuse positive feelings and generate positive vibes. Thus, to avoid <a href="http://manageyourbodyandmind.com/report300" target="_blank">teen depression</a>, you need to take the first step of detecting sources of negative emotions.Once this is practiced daily, getting rid of negativity becomes a very easy process.</p>

<p><strong>Mindset</strong> plays an important role in dealing with problems and difficulties that come your way. Approaching situations with a negative mindset will plague your life with negative emotions.</p>
<p>Changing your mindset is not as easy as you may think, if you follow effective strategies then you can achieve this in a short period of time. Your frame of mind can affect every thought you have and can also be the cause of various emotions you experience. Many times your beliefs, which may not always be accurate, are also the cause of your fixed mindset.</p>
<p>There are a number of effective strategies that can help you to shift your mindset towards a <strong>positive attitude</strong>. Creating and maintaining a positive mindset towards all areas of your life is extremely helpful and will make you happy and satisfied.</p>
<p>There are certain situations or people which leave us with long lasting effects that not only affect our <strong>mindset</strong> but our way of thinking to. These effects can be the blame for blocking doors to our mind thereby putting an end to the process of creation or perhaps interpretation of new ideas and thoughts.</p>
<p>An effective strategy for shifting your mindset is to focus on your abilities and capacities rather than your inabilities &#8211; focus on the positive not the negative. By doing so will allow you to excel in all areas of life and will automatically change your mindset &#8211; changing your mindset depends completely on you.</p>
<p>An example of this is your career, you can change your mindset by focusing on all the good things that your job offers. It is important to break away from the barriers of your mind and allow yourself to explore new areas and new opportunities which life has to offer.</p>
<p>If you have a fixed <a href="http://manageyourbodyandmind.com/report300/" target="_blank">mindset</a> towards your goals, this may not be helping you achieve them. You need to consider changing your mindset towards your goals by breaking your goals into smaller parts and attempting to achieve them faster.</p>

<p>Not only can you enhance your life through positive thinking, affirmations also help you in changing your life. Positive affirmations can help to transform your life as well as help you to achieve your goals. For the most part we are not use to giving much importance to affirmations and we sometimes fail to understand their significance.</p>
<p>Affirmations are beliefs and thoughts which characterize and command your mind. These affirmations can again be positive as well as negative. As you would expect, positive affirmations help you to enhance your life as they mirror your desires,wishes and your true self.</p>
<p>Affirmations are used to effectively wipe out negative feelings and thoughts from your mind. There are some cases where you can have contradictory beliefs or negative thoughts related to a particular object or person. You can use affirmations to stop these negative vibes and create positive feelings instead.</p>
<p>Affirmations help you to make conscious efforts towards the achievement of your goals. They also help you to understand your thoughts better and make you aware of your goals.</p>
<p>You should always trust and have faith in positive affirmations. There may be times where you may face resistance from your subconscious mind while focusing on them. Give it your best and fight this resistance with conviction and determination.</p>
<p>To help you increase your will power, you need to continously say your affirmations over and over again in your mind. There is magic in positive affirmations as once you start using affirmations, you will start to see the wonderful effects in all areas of your life.</p>

<p>In our previous post <a href="http://manageyourbodyandmind.com/mental-health/positive-thinking-what-does-it-really-mean-part-1-of-2" target="_blank">Part 1</a> of 2 we opened a discussion about positive thinking and what it means. Positive thinking has<br />
been an important topic over the past few years in many peoples lives.</p>
<p>Each thought you have is characterized by a different emotion. The basic division of thoughts is based on the positive and<br />
negative aspects of our thinking. Most of you know your focus should always be on positive thoughts however there are times we fall short of our good intentions and find ourselves focusing on negatives thoughts which have the effect of washing away any positive thoughts you may have. By focusing on positive thoughts you can lead yourself to creating more positive thoughts and feelings which can help you escape the shackles of depression and frustration.</p>
<p>Being positive is more of a mental process which has a way of effecting your life in miraculous ways. Therefore, it is important to fill your mind with positive emotions and feelings doing your utmost best to push the negative away. Creating and maintaining a positive attitude generates positive vibes around you and this can help you look at the brighter side of even the most complex situations.</p>
<p>When you are around people in a positive mood you actually omit positive vibrations which spread out to people around you. Understanding your thought pattern and process will help you to improve your mindset.</p>
<p>Do your best each day to treat every situation with positivity and smile through all your challenges. Not only will this help to develop a better self-esteem but it will also give you the strength to deal with convoluted situations.</p>
<p>It is important you understand positive thinking can not be expected just because someone tells you to be positive. You need to have determination and be able to take small steps towards keeping negative thoughts at bay. The entire process of positive thoughts needs to be fully understood first. Once you have this understanding then you can use this magical concept to shape your life, in ways you never thought possible.</p>
