In our last post we mentioned the importance of organization tips and the fact there is no reason why you can’t be successful in today’s society especially with all the technical know-how at your finger tips. Today we want to touch on and discover – 4 main reasons why people are not getting organized.
Of course, you may wonder if there are so many benefits to getting organized then why isn’t everybody doing it? Well, the reason is that it is not easy to get organized and stay organized. You will need to put in time and effort; more often than not, the greatest efforts are spent in overcoming hurdles that we place ourselves. Surprised to hear that? Well here is a look at four of the main reasons why people do not get organized:
- Many have very limited ideas and they do not believe that they can get any better organized than what they already are.
- They keep postponing, therefore things never get organized.
- They firmly believe that in their busy schedule, they simply do not have the time to organize any more.
- They are under the impression that organizing means investing in a whole lot of tools for which they do not have the money to afford.
Does any of this sound familiar to you? If so, do not worry – in our next post we will take a closer look at some of the excuses that people give to not being organized and how you can overcome these mindsets. Once you realize that these are just excuses and that they are preventing you from moving forward in life, hopefully you will take the necessary steps to start getting organized and bringing peace to your life.

Interesting article and reasons. However, there is a fifth reason … They are happy with the level of organization/chaos they have. After all not everyone needs or wants or even works well in an organized, clear environment. The main thing is to know your preferred style and ensure that the environment is appropriate.

Excellent point Glen, yes there are people out there who see nothing wrong with “the way things are” – You have probably heard the term “organized mess”. It is so true for some folks, I myself have been in peoples homes where it was told to me not to interrupt their organized mess as it works for them.
Thanks for the comment, we appreciate it.

My desk at work is a mess but I tell my boss it just means I am a stacker, not a slacker.
Interesting blog.

Hi Nev:
I like your terminology – that certainly puts it best. (Being a stacker not a slacker)

It is not that I don’t want to be organized, it’s because it seems take up so much time. How is that for an excuse. I need help.

Yes but it takes time away from important things like making money. Hey I know that not being organized actually wastes more time during the day but I just don’t get to it. I guess I better make the time. Thanks for the post

Hi Luca:
I agree with you 100%, it sure does take away from the goal of earning money. Here is the thing – this will only be in the short term as once you are organized and have a system in play, the time it takes to keep organized is cut to less than 50%. Here is another interesting fact – some people have even found being organized allows them to make more money when it comes to home offices and regular living space. Thanks for sharing Luca, we appreciate your comments.
