Do You Understand Your Mindset?

Mindset plays an important role in dealing with problems and difficulties that come your way. Approaching situations with a negative mindset will plague your life with negative emotions.
Changing your mindset is not as easy as you may think, if you follow effective strategies then you can achieve this in a short period of time. Your frame of mind can affect every thought you have and can also be the cause of various emotions you experience. Many times your beliefs, which may not always be accurate, are also the cause of your fixed mindset.
There are a number of effective strategies that can help you to shift your mindset towards a positive attitude. Creating and maintaining a positive mindset towards all areas of your life is extremely helpful and will make you happy and satisfied.
There are certain situations or people which leave us with long lasting effects that not only affect our mindset but our way of thinking to. These effects can be the blame for blocking doors to our mind thereby putting an end to the process of creation or perhaps interpretation of new ideas and thoughts.
An effective strategy for shifting your mindset is to focus on your abilities and capacities rather than your inabilities – focus on the positive not the negative. By doing so will allow you to excel in all areas of life and will automatically change your mindset – changing your mindset depends completely on you.
An example of this is your career, you can change your mindset by focusing on all the good things that your job offers. It is important to break away from the barriers of your mind and allow yourself to explore new areas and new opportunities which life has to offer.
If you have a fixed mindset towards your goals, this may not be helping you achieve them. You need to consider changing your mindset towards your goals by breaking your goals into smaller parts and attempting to achieve them faster.

This is a wonderful site a lot of good info.
I learned about mindset management when I was living at the beach and surfing every day. Some days the paddle out would be really difficult because of the size of the waves, the currents, and other conditions. I would spend time before going in the water to condition my mind and get the right mindset before I got in the water. Some days I would make it out to the waves when lots of guys would give up. It made me feel great!
I use this before driving, too. I visualize a safe drive with the lanes just opening up for me. The days I do this it works more times then it does not.
I add one more helper and that is prayer, too. I believe in that power.
